The president of the public association “Moldova Mea” Fiodor Ghelici considers the provocations in the Transnistrian region were staged on the Kremlin’s instruction. These were organized by the Transnistrian authorities because smuggling was stopped and the so-called Transnistrian entrepreneurs are no longer able to illegally make money.

In a news conference at IPN, Fiodor Ghelici said the explosions at the security ministry in Tiraspol were a cheap show intended for less educated voters. They were organized by order of the Kremlin that loses the war in Ukraine and that wants to deteriorate the relations between Moldova and the Transnistrian region.

Fiodor Ghelici noted that the provocations are aimed at worsening the opinion about the Ukrainians not only of the voters from Transnistria, but also of the Moldovans. The attacks on facilities in the Transnistrian region of the Republic of Moldova couldn’t have been staged by the Ukrainian intelligence services as such actions would have run counter to the relations between Ukraine and Moldova.

Chisinau does not pose any threat to the Transnistrians. On the contrary, it wants stability, said the president of the public association “Moldova Mea”.

He stated that the difficult economic situation in the region is directly related to the stopping of smuggling. Ukraine closed all the checkpoints on the Transnistrian segment. No one prevents the Transnistrians from importing goods through the other frontier posts, but black money cannot be made this way.

Many of the people in Transnistrian started to support the Ukrainians and changed their opinion about the Russians after the Ukrainians who found refuge in the region told them what the Russians actually do on the territory of Ukraine. The Russian propaganda no longer has the earlier impact and this angers the Kremlin.

In another development, the president of “Moldova Mea” said that destabilization actions are being prepared for May 9 under the aegis of the so-called “pro-Russian agents” led by ex-President of the Republic of Moldova Igor Dodon. According to him, the people who will take part in marches that day will promote symbols banned in Moldova, including the bicolor ribbon of Saint Gheorghe, and they will answer in accordance with the law.
