Fiodor Ghelici, who heads the public control commission of the Civil Society Council working under the President of the Republic of Moldova, said Moldova faces the danger of a civil war with human casualties.

In a news conference at IPN, Fiodor Ghelici said he came into possession of a scenario that is to be put into practice in the protest announced by President Igor Dodon for September 24. This will be mounted in the Great National Assembly Square.

According to the scenario, instigators will be infiltrated in the crowd to influence the protesters to besiege the Parliament Building and the Government Building. “We are concerned that a scenario like that in Ukraine could be replicated in Moldova. The President became inconvenient for those who take part in geopolitical games,” stated Fiodor Ghelici.

The activist does not rule out the possibility that forces from outside the country could become involved in the implementation of such a scenario given that, as he said, President Dodon is an inconvenient person for the pro-Western forces.

The chairman of the public control commission of the Civil Society Council working under the President of the Republic of Moldova called on the politicians, the senior administration and society to act in accordance with the law and also called upon the law enforcement agencies to take measures to maintain public order.
