The head of the Civil Society Congress Fiodor Ghelici told a news conference that he organized and participated in the April 7, 2009 protests, Info-Prim Neo reports. “I took part in the April 7 events and called on the young people to protest. I thus request the Prosecutor General's Office to investigate me for my actions. In court, I will provide all the necessary details and explain why I was in the Great National Assembly Square and why I called upon the young people to protest,” said Fiodor Ghelici. He said all the leaders of the present ruling alliance were in Chisinau's central square on April 7, 2009. Even if the given leaders do not admit, they staged the protests and took part in them. Fiodor Ghelici said yet that he did not participate in the devastation and violent acts that happened later. He ruled out the possibility that Vladimir Voronin ordered destroying the Parliament Building and the Presidential Office. Fiodor Ghelici stated he discussed the issue with the chairman of the commission of inquiry into the April 2009 events Vitalie Nagacevschi, who said that those who incited the crowd to violence are to blame for Valeriu Boboc's death. The fact that the truth about the April 7, 2009 protests has not been yet discovered shows that every party pursues interests and does not want to shed light in those events, Fiodor Ghelici said.
