Fiscal inspectors imposed fines of over 1 million lei as a result of inspections carried out during a month at business entities that retail cigarettes, IPN reports.
According to the State Tax Service, there were inspected 254 companies. The fines were imposed for not respecting the minimum retail price of cigarettes, not using cash register and not presenting accounting documents at the first request.
As a result of the conducted searches, the State Tax Service imposed fines totaling 1 010 879 lei. Also, in accordance with the Contravention Code, there were written 118 contravention reports and imposed fines of over 133,000 lei.
