More than 52 economic entities from all over the country have been fined over 70,000 lei for selling alcohol and cigarettes to minors. Last month, the police investigated three cases of causing the inebriation of teenagers, IPN reports.
According to the General Police Inspectorate, 36 companies were fined 63,400 lei for selling tobacco products and alcoholic beverages to minors, while 16 companies were fined 10,200 lei for retailing alcoholic drinks to teenagers.
The parents were penalized for inappropriately fulfilling the obligations to educate and instruct the children.
