Over 100 violations and electoral incidents have been recorded during the campaign for the November 28 early legislative elections. The fines imposed total over 23,000 lei, said the head of the Interior Ministry's Public Order Division Mihai Cibotaru, quoted by Info-Prim Neo.
The most often violation is the placement of election posters in unauthorized places. The representatives of the Communists Party committed ten such violations. Among independent candidates, only a representative of Victor Stepaniuc was caught putting advertisements in unauthorized places.
Another often violation is the distribution of electoral advertisements that do not contain the name of the election runner, the printing date, the number of copies and the name of the publishing house. There were identified 23 cases of destruction of election posters as well as cases of distribution of electoral presents and of insulting the candidates.
Mihai Cibotaru said the Ministry of the Interior was asked to maintain public order at 1,973 meetings of candidates with voters, which involved more than 360,000 persons.
