The fines imposed by the traffic police will be paid over the Internet as well following the implementation of the Governmental Service of Electronic Payments. More institutions will be connected to the system by the end of this year, the director of the e-Government Center Stela Mocanu has told the press, quoted by IPN.

“For example, one can pay the taxes for obtaining civil status documents and their copies, certificates issued by the Main State Tax Inspectorate and other institutions,” said Stela Mocanu.

The state institutions will be obliged to publish the prices of the services provided by them for the population on their official websites. With the help of the Governmental Service of Electronic Payments, any electronic public service can be paid with any payment instrument available on the market.

The Governmental Service of Electronic Payments (Mpay) is a component part of the joint governmental technological platform (Mcloud).
