A number of minibus drivers were fined as a result of inspections carried out by inspectors of the National Motor Transport Agency. The drivers were penalized for not possessing mandatory route certificates, for taking up duties without taking the medical test or for having the vehicle insurance expired, IPN has learned from the Ministry of Transport and Road Infrastructure.
The move is aimed at making the drivers more responsible. The inspections will continue the coming days.
The inspectors of the National Motor Transport Agency also checked the weight of large trucks to see if these obey the weight restrictions on road. No violations were identified here.
