The capacity of the urban transport is lower than the flow of passengers, said the head of the Public Transport and Communications Division Veaceslav Tarna. According to the official, the agreement to transport at most ten passengers on foot, which was reached by the City Hall and the minibus route administrators, is a temporary solution, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca ordered submitting an official application to the authorities, asking to allow conveying ten passengers on foot during the rush hour – between 6.45 and 9.00, and between 16.00 and 20.00. The minibus drivers who will not observe this condition will be fined.
The mayor instructed the route administrators to set up signs where the minibuses will stop by October 15, as they agreed earlier.
