The financial assistance for beneficiaries of international protection will represent 795 lei a month, which is 15% of the average official salary forecast (5,300 lei for this year), IPN reports, making reference to a Government decision.
The financial support is provided based on applications submitted by beneficiaries of international protection to the competent authority and is offered monthly for a period of six months, if the applicants do not have a source of livelihood.
According to the Ministry of the Interior, five applications for such financial assistance were filed in 2016, with two being accepted, as opposed to 53 in 2015.
As of August 19, 2016, the support has been non-repayable.
