The Ministry of Finance suggested increasing the financial norms for the food served to kindergarten children and school students by 40% as from February 1, IPN reports.
The children in kindergartens, the pupils of Moldova’s primary schools and the fifth-twelfth graders of education institutions from the Eastern districts that are subordinated to the Ministry of Education and of the education institutions of Dubăsari, Căușeni and Anenii Noi districts from the Security Zone eat at kindergarten and at school free of charge, as do students of boarding schools, boarding sports schools and secondary vocational education institutions.
The financial norms differ at each stage of education, from 4.90 lei/day to 61lei/day at present. If they are raised, they will range from 6.90 lei/day to 85.40 lei/day.
