Money will be allocated from the Chisinau social support find for providing by 1,000 lei in assistance to 185 persons hurt in the Nistru war and families of those killed in battle on the occasion of the Memory Day that is marked on March 2.
Contacted by IPN, the head of the Social-Humanitarian and Interethnic Relations Division Violeta Crudu said the money is already available from the branches of Banca de Economii. The beneficiaries are informed about the financial assistance by the local social workers.
On March 2, there will be staged events to commemorate those killed in the armed conflict for defending the independence and integrity of the Republic of Moldova. In the morning, flowers will be laid at the monument to Ruler Stephan the Great and Holy. A commemorative meeting will be held at the Memorial Complex “Eternity”. Flowers will be also laid at the Grieving Mother Monument. Remembrance meals will be staged for war participants in all the districts of Chisinau.
