More than 100 communities in Moldova will receive financial assistance within the program “My Community” that was launched by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), IPN reports.
The program envisions activities to optimize, ensure the transparency and develop local public authorities’ capacities to increase the quality of the provided services and to cooperate with civil society.
According to the Moldovan executive’s press service, the program was launched to support the Government in its efforts to decentralize the public services and to improve their quality.
The activities of the program were discussed in a working meeting of the Government’s Secretary General Lilia Palii and representatives of the USAID Mission to Moldova headed by Director Karen Hilliard.
The program “My Community” has a budget of US$20.5 million and will be implemented during 2018-2023.
