Financial assistance for children on June 1

A sum of 5.5 million lei was allocated from the state budget for providing lump sums to deprived families with children on the occasion of the International Children's Day that is celebrated on June 1. The money will be distributed through the local population support funds. The administration boards of these funds will select the beneficiaries and will set the size of the financial assistance, Info-Prim Neo reports. In a communique, the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family says the family-type children's homes and the professional parent assistance services will be among the main recipients of assistance. In Chisinau, the orphans who finish the ninth, elevenths and twelfth grades will receive lump sums from the local budget, to the value of 240,000 lei.
