The families on low incomes, the family-type children’s homes and the professional parent assistance families will receive financial assistance on the International Children’s Day that is marked on June 1. A sum of about 8 million lei was allocated from the state budget for the purpose, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué of the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family.
The money will be distributed through the local population support funds that will decide the categories of recipients and the size of allowances.
The public commissions for assessing the assistance needs working under the mayor’s offices will also choose recipients from among non-institutionalized children, invalid children and large and one-parent families.
In the municipality of Chisinau, lump-sums will be also provided to orphans who have completed the ninth an twelfth grades. A sum of 319,000 lei will be disbursed from the local budget for this aim.
More than 8.3 million lei will be used in this respect, up 1.5 million lei on a year before.
