Prime Minister Vlad Filat instructed the Ministry of Finance to make an analysis of the tax amnesty granted in Moldova, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The Ministry is to collect information about the overdue payments and forgiven taxes, about the economic entities that benefited from tax amnesty and how it affected the business and investment environment in Moldova, etc.
The analysis and information about the legalization of capital is to be presented at the March 24 meeting of the Government.
According to the information made public earlier, debts of 4 billion lei to the state budget, the state social insurance budget and the obligatory health insurance funds had been forgiven during the tax amnesty.
The tax amnesty and the legalization of capital are two of the three reforms aimed at liberalizing the economy initiated at the suggestion of former head of state Vladimir Voronin. The third reform is the introduction of the zero tax on the companies' reinvested profit.
