Final results of presidential elections

All the ballots cast in the October 30 presidential elections were counted. Thus, Igor Dodon polled 47.98% of the ballot, while Maia Sandu – 38.71%, IPN reports.

The candidate of “Our Party” Dumitru Chubashenko won 6.03% of the poll, the candidate of the European People’s Party Iurie Leanca - 3.11%, the candidate of the Liberal Party Mihai Ghimpu – 1.8%, while independent candidate Valeriu Giletski – 1.08%. Independent candidate Maia Laguta gained 0.76% of the vote, independent Silvia Radu – 0.37%, while candidate of the Right Ana Gutu – 0.17%.

More than 49% of the electors written on the voter rolls voted in the elections.
