The historical film “Stephan the Great” will be shown in the Great National Assembly Square of Chisinau in the evening of July 2, starting at 7pm, in connection with the 150th anniversary of the ruler’s death, IPN has learned from the Chisinau City Hall.
Also, the Festival “Stephan the Great and Holy” will be officially opened in the central park of Chisinau, which bears his name, at 6pm. The event is staged by the European Cultural Center “Dacia” in partnership with the Chisinau City Hall, the Straseni District Council and the Ungheni District Council.
Singers and folkloric groups from Moldova and abroad will perform at the festival. The ensemble “Ciprian Porumbescu” from Romania’s Suceava will give a gala performance.
