The film “Man without a Lifeline” will be launched in two countries concomitantly – the Republic of Moldova and Romania – on November 30. The film is a cooperation between players from both sides of the Prut and tells the story of Romanian engineer Ionel Sporea, who invented the first modern robot for table tennis training and who was sentenced to 12 years in jail for treason.

In a news conference hosted by IPN, director and producer of the film Adriana Vasilcov said that this is her debut film. Initially, she refused to make this film for several times as she was afraid to assume responsibility. It seemed something fantastic to her as the workload was very large and filming was needed in several locations and with many actors. The work was stressing, but productive as well.

Actress Alina Rusu, who played the role of Tina, fell in love with the character at first sight. She prepared for this role during a long period of time. At the filming location, she established relations and learned a lot of things.

Comedy actor Petru Oistric noted that playing a part in the film was a big challenge for him. When he was given the script, he realized that he will have to act entirely differently. The story overwhelmed him.

Scriptwriter and main protagonist of the film Ionel Sporea approved of the work done by the crew. He said that extraordinary work was done from all viewpoints, including financial one. A great film was produced as a result. He called on the people to go and see it at the cinema.

The film was already sent to several festivals and responses from some of these already came, but the organizers of the conference didn’t provide more details.

The news conference was held in the framework of IPN’s project “Double Integration through Cooperation and Information” which is implemented with financing from the Department for the Relationship with the Republic of Moldova of the Government of Romania. The content of the news conference does not represent the official position of the Department for the Relationship with the Republic of Moldova.
