Filat goes to Turkey accompanied by six ministers and Gagauzia Governor

Prime Minister Vlad Filat is making an official visit to Turkey on November 1 and 2, accompanied by six ministers and Gagauzia Governor Mihail Formuzal. Seven documents of cooperation in various areas are expected to be signed during the visit.
The Government said in a press release the visit agenda also includes a number of high-level meetings and participation in important events with a view to strengthening Moldo-Turkish ties. On the first day the Prime Minister will have meetings in Ankara with Turkish President Abdullah Gül, Parliament Speaker Cemil Çıçek, and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Also, a meeting of the two countries' delegations will take place. On the second day, Vlad Filat will travel to Istanbul to meet with Mayor Kadir Topbaş and participate in the opening ceremony of the Moldova-Turkey Business Forum.
The Prime Minister is accompanied by ministers Iurie Leanca, Dorin Recean, Vitalie Marinuta, Maia Sandu, Gheorghe Salaru and Marcel Raducan. The agreements that are to be signed concern mutual abolition of visas, readmission of illegal immigrants, and cooperation in education and cartography. Also, a memorandum of understanding will be signed to improve cooperation in environment protection and a mechanism will be established for consultations on procurement procedures.
