Filat family unveils income of over 1 million lei last year

MPs Vlad Filat, Ion Varta and Oleg Tulea have accepted to post their income declarations for 2007, as part of the “Property In Sight” campaign, Info-Prim Neo reports. Vlad Filat included both the incomes obtained in 2007, and the properties got the previous years. Thus the politician declares that he and his family have gained 1,115,000 lei on their jobs last year. According to the campaign organisers, Ion Varta has declared, in 2007, obtained 94,521.23 lei on his job. In addition, he got 4,600 lei from scientific activities and 12,450 lei from creating activities. Oleg Tulea declared his the incomes and properties he gained only in 2007. The MP got 104,907.65 lei on his workplace. The „Property in Sight” drive was started by the anticorruption paper „Obiectiv”, published by the Independent Press Association (IPA) and the Anticorruption Alliance. Part of this campaign, previously, speaker Marian Lupu, deputy speaker Maria Postoico, MPs Dumitru Braghis, Grigore Petrenco, Vlad Cubreacov, Valentina Serpul and Vitalia Pavlicenco, Chişinău’s general mayor Dorin Chirtoaca and the Floresti mayor Iurie Tap unveiled their income declarations. The „Obiectiv” paper specifies that, according to the Central Commission dealing with the income and property declarations, over 300 dignitaries and public functionaries have not yet updated their declarations, although they were obliged to do so till January 30.
