Fifty more beds will become available for persons with COVID-19 at the Dermatology and Communicable Diseases Hospital, said Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Viorica Dumbrăveanu. According to the minister, given the unfavorable epidemiological situation, the authorities are looking for solutions to activate other beds in other institutions, IPN reports.
“It is very important to combine forces, both the authorities and the whole society, to obey the measures recommended by specialists so as help the doctors and the health system to cope with the situation,” said Viorica Dumbrăveanu.
She noted that the municipal and national medical institutions are more crowded than the district ones. If need be, the patients are transferred to institutions where there are free beds.
Six mobile X-Ray machines that are needed for patients in a serious state were purchased and distributed to health facilities earlier this week.
