The Government instituted a program committee for organizing the fifth Danube Academies Conference that will take place in Chisinau on April 7, IPN reports.
The committee will be headed by the acting president of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova Ion Tighineanu. He said the conference will involve representatives from 14 countries. There will be discussed such problems as the quality of water resources, environmental risks, alternative sources of energy, prevention of floods, competitiveness of enterprises and investments in developing human capacities.
“The conference will enable to significantly extend the circle of persons interested in intestate cooperation projects and programs that promote the use of the Danube resources. There will be offered possibilities of creating, intensifying and improving partnerships between researchers and research institutions of Moldova and of the countries form the Danube region,” said Ion Tighineanu.
