A factory for making fiberglass items and fabrics will be erected in Strășeni. For building and outfitting the factory with modern equipment, the German company BauTex-Stoffe is to invest about US$18 million next year. The investor signed an agreement with the Bălți Free Economic Zone, becoming a resident of this, IPN reports.
It is planned that 100 jobs will be created at the factory in 2022, with sales projected to reach almost US$10 million during the first year of the launch of production.
At the factory in Strășeni, the company will make glass fabrics Ortex – a German roving cloth used to make fiberglass for different industries, such as naval constructions, automotive industry, building and sport. There will also be made polyphane products, such as abrasive discs, aquapanels and composite armature.
The business plans envisions an annual rise in the number of employees and in production volume. Until 2028, the company will have over 300 employees, while the production volume will be about US$80 million.
The company BauTex Composites that was founded in Moldova will be the third company of the group outside Germany, but second by size, number of employees and production volume.
Bautex-stoffe has been a trademark in contract textiles since 1964. The largest company of the BauTex-Stoffe Goriup outside Germany was founded in Russia in 2000. Another company, BauTex Sp.z.o.o., was established in Poland in 2011.
