The Chisinau Electric Transport Company has cut the number of trolleybuses that run on routes for the period of summer. Two routes – No. 11 and No. 16 – have been suspended.
The Company’s director Gheorghe Morgoci has told IPN that almost 80 trolleybuses will be removed from routes in summer given that the number of passengers in the period is much lower.
Such measures as the reduction in the number of units of transport, modification of the schedule and suspension of trolleybus routes are taken by the municipal authorities each year.
