The tenth grades were completed in only ten of the 80 lyceums of Chisinau during the first enrollment stage. The second stage starts on August 8 and the results will be made known this weekend. This problem was witnessed the previous years too, but this year the number of students enrolled in the tenth grade is even lower, IPN reports.
The head of the Chisinau General Division of Education, Youth and Sport Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb said that under the regulations, at least two parallel classes of tenth graders must exist in one institution.
“A new enrolment stage starts today. The request is for the applicants to take into account the results of the first stage,” stated the official, noting that the administrative bodies of the institutions must also cooperate between them.
