Fewer Moldovan tourists have chosen the Romanian seaside this year

The number of Moldovan tourists that chose the Romanian coastline has diminished – has stated the Bureau of tourist information and promotion of Romania in Chisinau. At the same time the number of tourists at the mountain resorts and spas all over Romania is at rise. According to the chief of the mentioned bureau, Mrs. Mariana Iuga, this year more tourists have chosen the Danube delta because of the unique sightseeing from the region and the great number of birds, and also because of the recreational resources: excursions with boats, fishing or hunting. Staring September 1, the tourists will be enjoying special prices in 1, 2 and 3 star hotels. At this point the prices are already down with 10-20%. Through tourist agencies, in the first six months of his year Romania has been visited by some 4 thousand Moldovans. But most of the tourists prefer to visit Romania without any agencies, instead choosing private houses and residences.
