Journalist Valeriu Reniță said that fewer scenarios as to the possible parliamentary majority remained after the bloc ACUM DA PAS recently declared it would not cooperate with the Democratic Party (PDM) and the Party of Socialists (PSRM). The same opinion is shared by the expert of the Institute for Development and Social Initiative “Viitorul” Ion Tăbârță, who stated that the political players in case of snap elections do not have guarantees that they would get a better score and could thus support the formation of the new Government, IPN reports.

According to Valeriu Reniță, given the firm position of the bloc’s representatives, the problem becomes easier as only two-three scenarios remain: PDM+ PSRM or the formation of a minority government. “There is one more scenario: if the Democratic Party manages to constitute a bigger group than it is anticipated at present,” the journalist stated in the talk show “Moldova live” on the public TV channel Moldova 1.

Ion Dron, chairman of the Center of Initiatives and Public Authorities Monitoring, said that three legal scenarios are possible – an alliance, a minority government and snap elections. In the case of the first scenario, no maneuvering space will remain for the bloc ACUM and the PSRM as these declared earlier that they would not form alliances. “The minority government could be formed after someone undertakes to come to Parliament with another team and MPs who want to vote and a coalition in the legislature could be formed in half a year,” he stated.

For his part, Ion Tăbârță said the political players who entered Parliament cannot be sure they would achieve a better result in snap elections and would thus opt for scenarios that envision the formation of a Government. Regardless of the Government’s composition, the Cabinet will be led by representatives of the PDM. There are two formulas for forming the Government – a large alliance consisting of the PDM and PSRM, without the Shor Party, which would be a condition of the Socialists, and the PDM + the Shor Party + independent candidates + a group of MPs separated from the Socialists.

The preliminary election results show the Party of Socialists won 35 seats of MP, the Democratic Party – 30, the electoral bloc ACUM – 26 and the Shor Party – seven. Three independents will also enter Parliament.
