The ethnic minorities will present their cultural heritage at the 17th Festival of Ethnic Communities entitled “Unity through Diversity” that will be held in Chișinău on September 16, IPN reports.
The program starts at 9:30am with laying of flowers at the Monument to Ruler Stephan the Great and Holy. The festival will be officially opened in the central park of Chișinău at 10am.
The event will include a musical-literary performance featuring artistic groups of ethnic and cultural organizations that will be held on the main stage of the event. The brass band of the Culture Division of the Chișinău City Hall will give a concert near the platform set up around the fountain in the central park between 3:00pm and 5:00pm.
The festival will also be staged in districts. In Cantemir district, this will take place in Vishniovka village on September 16, while in Bălți municipality, in front of the National Theater “V. Alecsandri” on September 23. Similar events will take place in Edineț and Râșcani, on September 21, and in Glodeni, Hâncești and Orhei, on September 23.
