Rescuers warn about the danger posed by the fermenting wine, especially in closed places, where there is no proper ventilation. Last weekend, a man and his son from Stoianovka village of Cantemir district were found dead in their cellar, where the wine was fermenting, IPN reports.

According to the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, the men aged 56 and 78 were discovered by locals. It is alleged that they entered the cellar, where the fermentation process was on, and could not get out. These poisoned themselves with carbon dioxide that is released during fermentation. An investigation is under way.

The Service calls on the population to be maximally prudent and not to take risks. It warns that all the safety measures should be observed while in cellars, which should be ventilated properly.
