The local authorities started to demolish a reinforced concrete fence that was abusively erected around a building located at 77 Alba Iulia St, IPN reports. While on a visit to the scene, acting mayor general of Chisinau Ruslan Codreanu said this case of abusive appropriation of public property left the children and parents living in the quarter without a sidewalk. The locals have to bypass the building and to move on the roadway, exposing themselves to risks. The fence is taken down by the owner of the building at the request of district head’s office. The works are to be completed in two days. Later, the sidewalk and the green area will be rehabilitated.
In connection with this case, the deputy head of Buiucani district Vadim Brânzaniuc said that by this fence the public road has been blocked since 2006. It was set up to surround a building that started to be erected in the absence of the required documents. Through a court decision, the company got the ownership right over the building under construction. Later, this managed to establish land relations for the lot on which the construction was started, also through court.
Three more building companies that erected apartment buildings nearby will build an access road of 800 m with sidewalks and street public lighting. The works are to be performed during the next two weeks.
