The woman who was injured in the violent accident in Cimișlia eight days ago died in the hospital. She was travelling in the car together with the driver who ignored the warnings of a road worker and hit his vehicle head-on into another car. The information was confirmed for IPN by senior press officer of the Cimișlia Police Inspectorate Cristina Vicol.
The accident occurred in Cimișlia district on a road section under repair on which the appropriate road signs were placed, according to the police. The 55-year-old driver who ignored the road worker’s signs was travelling from Cimișlia town towards Chisinau. He had two passengers in his car. The other vehicle that was hit frontally was driven by a man aged 59.
Cristina Vicol said the driver who is allegedly to blame for the accident is being investigated.
