The feasibility study for expanding the free enterprise zone “Balti” by building an industrial park and then a business incubator will be completed by the end of this year, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communique from the Ministry of Economy. The given zone now has two sub-zones where there are implemented investment projects. The Government decided to allow the administration of the zone to manage a plot of 136.49 hectares. 110 ha of them will be used to set up the new sub-zone, while 26.49 ha for other purposes. The third sub-zone will be created with the aim of attracting investment and advanced technologies, creating new workplaces, producing machines and parts, increasing the export potential and solving a number of social and economic problems, it is said in the communique. The two sub-zones of the free enterprise zone “Balti” occupy 1.5 ha and 10.35 ha respectively. They are managed by ICS “Draexlmaier Automotive“ SRL, which rented the administrative block and the production areas. About 1,700 people work currently within the zone.
