The football club Veris Chisinau presented its new players and new equipment before the start of the national football championship. Contracts for up to five years have been signed with the seven new footballers who are from the national squad.

The new players are: Anatol Doros, Petru Racu, Igor Picus, Adrian Cascaval, Alexandru Antoniuc, Maxim Antoniuc, and goalkeeper Serghei Juric.

“We decided to sign Moldovan players. There are young people with prospects whom we attracted to our team and of whom we have great expectations. I think we have many talents here, in Moldova, and do not have to bring them from Romania,” FC Veris manager general Alexandru Grecu said in a news conference at IPN.  He added that FC Veris intends to sign new players, but later.

The team’s new deputy manager Ion Gheorghiu said FC Veris is a long-term project. “We plan to raise it to the level of centralized club, where to develop more kinds of sport. Football will be the engine that will pull this project. The club’s administration wants the project to be more social. We have many talents and will make effort to promote them and to develop Olympic and individual events so as to attract more children,” he stated, adding that this is the reason for which he joined this project.

FC Veris senior coach Danut Oprea said that though the new players are known, they must integrate into the spirit of Veris. “We worked a lot for a year and managed to create this spirit. I hope that the new players will engage in what we want to achieve here. It was a rather good preparatory work. There are several more points to be agreed,” he stated.

Anatol Doros told the journalists that Veris provides hopes for the future of the Moldovan football because the club sets goals and thinks up plans for achieving them.

In the news conference the new players received by a Veris T-shirt.
