Officials of the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation and of the U.S. Embassy in Moldova paid a working visit to the National Anticorruption Center, where they had a meeting with the Center’s director Viorel Chetraru. The officials considered possibilities of providing technical and consultative assistance in investigating transfrontier offenses, IPN reports.
Earlier this week, Viorel Chetraru met with representatives of the diplomatic corps, who expressed their readiness to help the National Anticorruption Center investigate loud cases.
Officers of the National Anticorruption Center form part of an anticorruption working group that includes representatives of EU embassies working in Moldova. The objective of the group is to provide assistance to the Center and to monitor the anticorruption activities carried out by the Center.
