The man who sexually exploited his daughter from the age of 6, including during five vacations in Ukraine and Egypt, between 2018 and 2022, was sentenced to 17 years in prison. The court also ordered the confiscation for the benefit of the state of the money that the defendant received from a client from outside the country for the systematic delivery of pornographic materials with his own daughter, in the amount of over 1 million lei. The defendant is to pay his daughters 100,000 lei in respect of non-pecuniary damages, IPN reports.
The Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime and Special Cases said that the defendant who is over 50 years old had committed the acts starting with 2018 (when his daughter was 6 years old), until 2022, including during vacations abroad. There, he used his authority as a father, so that the daughter engaged in explicit sexual activities that were recorded in photos and videos. These actions constitute commercial sexual exploitation of the child and production of pornographic materials with minors – images that were also made available for money on a website.
To make his daughter consider the production of pornography and her sexual exploitation a normality, he made her watch pornographic materials together. The perpetrator also made his daughter take sexual actions in relation to him. The daughter confessed that her father rewarded her with various gifts for keeping silent. According to psychological reports, the victim had been isolated from other family members through the father’s influence so that he could have control over the child.
Also, the Buiucani Court of Chisinau City noted that in 2013 the man published a pornographic material with his eldest daughter (11 years old, at the time) on a Russian website. To this end, he had photographed her with his phone and shared online dozens of images of her sexual organs, in an obscene manner.
The man partially admitted his guilt and now remains in state custody. His daughter continues to benefit from protection and psychological counseling in a placement center.
After the sentence was pronounced by the Buiucani Court, the prosecutors challenged it at the Chisinau Court of Appeals, asking for the punishment to be toughened – from 17 to 20 years in prison.
The prosecutors also started a criminal case against customers who bought pornographic images and videos from the defendant.
