Father of two sets himself on fire in the house

A man from Basarabeasca town splashed gasoline on himself and set himself on fire in the house. According to neighbors, the man was under the influence of alcohol. Civil Protection and Emergencies Service press officer Liliana Puscau has told Info-Prim Neo that a part of the things in the room were destroyed, while the man aged 48 was rushed to the hospital with burns on 90% of the body. Nicolae Nichita, doctor of the surgical ward of the Basarabeasca Emergency Hospital, said the man did not survive. He died almost ten hours after he was hospitalized. Neighbors said the man returned recently from Russia, where he worked. He was divorced and the two children of the couple lived with their mother.
