Two persons are investigated as suspects in the criminal case started after the November 14 house fire in Danu village of Glodeni district that claimed the lives of three children. The children’s father was arrested for 72 hours, press officer of the Glodeni and Falesti Police Inspectorate Ludmila Condrat has told IPN.

The criminal case was started over killing out of imprudence. The crime carries a penalty of two to six years in jail.

The press reported that the children’s farther was earlier convicted of murder. The man would have killed his brother-in-law and buried him in the cellar. The press officer of the Glodeni and Falesti Police Inspectorate didn’t confirm this information.

The children, two girls and a boy, were aged seven years, four years and one month. Their parents said the fire extinguished so quickly that they didn’t manage to take the children out of the house. Experts are investigating four preliminary versions of the fire: violation of the rules of using the stove, violation of the rules of using the heater, arson and a short circuit. A final version will be presented within ten days.
