Doctors established that a girl aged seven from Cahul district suffered injuries typical of a rape. A person was put under arrest for 72 hours. Contacted by IPN, prosecutor of Cahul district Leonid Turculet said that the girl’s father is among the suspects, but didn’t specify if he was the one who was arrested.
According to the prosecutor, the medical-legal examination hasn’t been yet completed, but it was preliminarily determined that the girl was raped. The girl’s mother was the one who called an ambulance and the doctors informed the police.
The culprit faces up to 20 years in jail or life for rape.
