The tax incentives for farmers, with emphasis on the refund of the value added tax and the excise duty on diesel, were discussed by Minister of Agriculture Ludmila Catlabuga with representatives of the Farmers' Force Association. The Ministry of Agriculture noted that these aspects remain in the focus of the institution, IPN reports.

Referring to the Agricultural Policy Strategic Program for 2025-2030, Ludmila Catlabuga underlined the commitment to an inclusive approach, noting that the intervention rules will be updated as a result of public consultations with all associations working in the field.

At the same time, an intervention plan for large crops will be introduced, and the subsidy mechanisms will be consolidated through a project-based system, taking into account the rotation and characteristics of the field, reads a press release of the Ministry of Agriculture.

The authorities assured that these measures will be completed this week and that the support through interest subsidies will be maintained.
