The Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family is launching a campaign to collect funds to help a family with triplets living in Opaci village of Causeni district. Ludmila and Andrei Gutu raise two girls and a boy aged one year and seven months. So far, they lived gratis in the house of a family that is in Italy. Now the owners need money and want to sell their house, Info-Prim Neo reports. The family lives on the childcare allowances of 150 lei a month. In a news conference on Monday, the triplets' mother Ludmila Gutu said they cannot go to their parents to live as they are also in a difficult situation. The husband cannot look for a job as he helps her with the children at home. “We only want a small house and a small plot of land where to grow domestic animals and fowl. We will work hard, but need help now,” the woman said. In the same news conference, Minister of Labor, Social Protection and Family Valentina Buliga said that her first salary as minister (so far she received salary as MP – e.n.) will be transferred to this family. “We ask the kindhearted people to help these persons as it is very hard to raise three children and have a job simultaneously,” she said. The Mayor of Opaci Mihai Mocanu said Ludmila and Andrei Gutu are hardworking persons and are the only family with triplets in the village. According to him, when the triplets were born the family received financial assistance, but the mayor's office cannot buy a house for them. About €10,000 is needed to purchase a house in Opaci. During the news conference, Irina Molonciuc, representative of the British organization “Light”, said they will transfer €500 to the family this week. Boris Galca, the director of the United Nations Population Fund's Office in Moldova, said they will support financially the creation of a media ad to inform the population. Those who can help the Gutu family are asked to make donations into the bank account 226608, treasury account 430515101731201, fiscal code 1007601006140.
