Family injured in road accident

A family was injured in a traffic accident on Monday evening in Buiucani district of the capital. Representative of the Road Safety Service of the Chisinau Road Police Ion Roscovanu told Info-Prim Neo that the accident took place at 9 PM at the intersection of Belinschi and Ion Neculce streets. A Daewoo-Nexia, driven by a 24-year old man collided violently with a VAZ-2121. The driver of the VAZ, 37, his wife and their 7-year old child suffered head traumas. A woman, 81, was hospitalised with key bone fracture and multiple rib fractures, after she was hit by a Lada-Priora, driven by a man, 22. The accident took place at around 6 PM on Albisoara Street. Four vehicles were damaged in an accident which happened at 5 PM on Alba Iulia Street. A Nissan X-Trevel, driven by a man, 21, collided with a VAZ-21099, driven by another 21-year old. As result of the impact the Nissan was pushed on the other lane and hit a parked Toyota. In turn Toyota stuck another car behind it. Fortunately the Nissan’s driver only suffered a concussion of the left arm. The other drivers weren’t injured. A Dacia-Logan taxi hit a woman, 26, on Muncesti Street. The girl got a concussion. At the intersection of Grenoble Street and Cuza Voda Boulevard, a VAZ-21011 ran into a heavily drunken pedestrian, aged 40. The man fractured his right thighbone. Driving while intoxicated an Opel-Omega a 29-year old resident of Grusevo village from Criuleni lost control of the car and bumped into the parapet on Bucovina Street. Hiss passenger, 31, also drunken, suffered a head trauma after hitting the windscreen. Nine persons were injured in 7 road accidents that took place on weekend in Chisinau. Other 16 accidents produced no victims. Traffic officers fined 15 drivers for drunk-driving and 112 for speeding.
