A number of mayor’s offices and nongovernmental organizations received, on their email addresses, an “order on the construction of waste incineration plants”. The document was not distributed by the Ministry of Environment, warn the authorities, specifying that the alleged order and the information contained in it are false, IPN reports.
In an official statement, the authorities urge caution in the information process. “We urge you to always check the sources of information and consult the official communication channels of the Ministry of Environment in order to obtain accurate and up-to-date information about our activities and initiatives. The Ministry will continue to transparently and correctly inform the public about all its projects.”
The Ministry of Environment also announced that, in connection with this case, the law enforcement agencies were asked to investigate the source of the disseminated falsehoods and to take the necessary measures against those who distribute them.
