Failure occurred in Orange mobile network this morning for several hours

A technical failure which occurred on August 14 left the clients of Orange-Moldova without the possibility to call or receive calls. The problem was registered at 10:00am. The connection was resumed after almost 3 hours. According to Company’s Public Relations Manager Victoria Mustata, the quality of the signal was compromised by an unexpected failure at one of central subsystems of the network. Initially the signal disappeared in half of the territories of the country serviced by Orange networks, and by 10:40am on an area of 75%. The teams of the technical department managed to resume the connection at 1:00pm. “Orange Moldova apologises for the created inconveniencies and hopes that the clients of the network will be indulgent”, the cited source specified. Director of the National Regulatory Agency in Telecommunications Stanislav Gordea told Info-Prim Neo that he was not officially informed about the breakdowns occurred in Orange network. The cited source said that the Agency will investigate the issue and will try to determine the reason which led to the failure. Orange Moldova has nearly 1.35 mln clients.
