The Tiraspol administration has established a simplified regime for ambulances that cross the control points on the Nistru River. The ordinance is already effective and aims at simplifying the procedure of providing first aid in time, reports “Novyi Region” New Agency on its website, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. The data on the transported patients, as well as on the medics who escort them, will be swiftly transmitted to control posts. Thus, there will be no need to stall the ambulance for additional identity checks. The simplified crossing regime is used in cases when there is need for special medical care, in conditions that endanger the health state and life of citizens, such as sudden sickness, worsening of chronic diseases, accidents, lesions, intoxications, and complications during pregnancy. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, Deputy Minister of Healthcare Gheorghe Turcanu stated that on September 7, representative from the Ministry of Healthcare will visit Tiraspol to discuss on several aspects of the simplified regime for transporting patients across the Nistru. The Deputy Minister mentioned that already there are no barriers in transporting patients from the Transnistrian region to Chisinau, or vice versa, if recommended by doctors. The agreements are to be confirmed through documentation.
