The façades of the buildings located on Vasile Alecsandri St and Constantin Negruzzi Blvd in Chisinau are to be renovated until October 1 this year. The Chisinau City Hall said the balconies, fences and gates leading to the roadway will be restored in parallel, IPN reports.
The Centru and Rascani district head’s offices will cooperate with the managers of apartment buddings and owners of apartments, private homes and non-residential property so as to manage to renovate the facades by the set deadline.
The streets Vasile Alecsandri and Constantin Negruzzi are under reconstruction. The works are carried out within the project “Chisinau – Urban Roads” that is implemented by the municipality with the financial support of the EBRD and EIB. The project to the value of €22 million envisions the extensive rehabilitation of six main and secondary streets in Chisinau, including Stefan cel Mare si Sfant Blvd.
The Chisinau City Hall also said that the construction works at 32 Andrei Doga St were suspended until the problem related to the plan for laying out the residential quarter in the neighborhood is solved. Earlier, the people living at 32/2 Andrei Doga St expressed their dissatisfaction with the given works, including by protests.
