Extra medical services for students

Schoolchildren and students will enjoy additional medical services in the educational establishments they attend, with a relevant Government decision taking effect upon publishing in the Official Gazette on Tuesday, August 12, Info-Prim Neo reports. As Health Minister Larisa Catrinici stated at the date of the decision's approval, these services will not overlap with those provided in outpatient clinics and specialized health care facilities and covered by the mandatory health insurance. The list of additional medical services includes prophylactic care, disinfection for communicable disease prevention, emergency care. It also contains a training course on Health Education, including trauma prevention and STD avoidance. The new measures are expected to be put into practice starting from the new school year.
