Carriers will boost bus services on routes to Romania as the demand is traditionally expected to rise with students returning to their studies in Romania after the winter holidays. The offer will depend on the demand.

Vladislav Zara, manager of the state company running bus stations, has told IPN passenger numbers usually increase for Romania-bound routes starting from January 2 or 3. This involves buses and minibuses departing from Chisinau, Balti and Cahul on routes to Iasi, Brasov, Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Constanta and other Romanian destinations. The demand is already rising as passengers start booking tickets. Schedules will be adjusted depending on sales.

As concerns inter-city routes, like in the previous years, bus services ahead of the winter holidays are adjusted depending on the demand. For example, on New Year Day some trips have been canceled due to a lack of passengers, however on the eve of Julian-calendar Christmas services will increase to meet the traditionally high demand.
