Extortion for nonexistent debt

Two persons are accused for harassing a minor for two months in order to extort money from him for a pretended debt, Info-Prim Neo reports, based on the information provided by the prosecution bodies. According to the prosecutor’s office, the two suspects, who were also minors when committing the crime, were demanding 800 lei. They applied physical and psychological violence and forced the boy to work in order to obtain the money. The suspects succeeded in obtaining 400 lei from the victim. If found guilty, the wrongdoers could be imprisoned for a term of up to 7 years and 6 months.
