The inspection bodies will be empowered to state offenses identified in the inspected areas. A bill to this effect was approved by the Parliament’s commission for appointments and immunities on December 7, IPN reports.

Under the bill proposed by the Government, as a result of the performed inspections, the institutions will be obliged to transmit the conclusive documents and evidence to the prosecution bodies within 24 hours. According to the authors, the new provisions will hasten the examination of particular categories of offenses.

The bill authors said that given that the inspection bodies are many in number and the areas of activity are very different, these should be empowered to state violations that are strictly related to the regulated areas.

The inspection bodies are allowed to confiscate corpus delicti, to ask for information, to summon persons and obtain statements from these, to assess the caused damage or even to arrest culprits.
